At Kaia’s Kreations, we offer more than products — we offer trust. We specialize in raw, one-donor hair bundles and ponytails sourced directly from India, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Madagascar and more — never steam-processed, never mixed. Every strand is authentic, thick, and cuticle-aligned. We also create custom wig units made to order, and offer natural, handmade body butters, scrubs, oils, and cleansers that nurture the body and soul.

That’s why I created a blog as a safe space where I drop free vendor lists, sourcing tips, and real results from vendors I’ve personally used and tested with proof of my experience. No gatekeeping. RAW BULK
VIRGIN WEFTED
STEAM PROCESSED
Raw bulk hair is cut straight from one donor, left unwefted (loose), and tied together with no chemicals, heat, or processing. It’s usually used for braiding, ventilating wigs, or making wefts.
How to Tell It’s Real:
- The ends will taper naturally — no blunt cuts.
- Each bundle should vary slightly in texture or strand size.
- It may have a natural smell, not overly “fresh” or perfumed.
- Cuticles should align in one direction — no tangling or friction when you run your fingers from top to bottom.
Virgin hair is unprocessed human hair that has been washed and wefted but not chemically altered. It usually comes from 1-2 donors and has a consistent natural wave or straight pattern.
How to Tell It’s Real:
- No shiny plastic look.
- Can be colored and bleached, but may lift slower than raw hair.
- Shouldn’t have a strong chemical scent.
- Weft should be tight, neat, and not shedding heavily.
Tests After You Receive It:
- Bleach Test: Apply 30–40 vol developer to a small strand. Virgin hair may take longer to lift but will gradually turn blonde if it’s real.
- Heat Test: Curl it. It should hold a curl without melting or smoking.
- Wash Test: After shampooing, hair should not lose texture or feel slippery — that would indicate silicone coating.
Steam processed hair is real human hair that’s been exposed to steam to create a uniform curl or wave pattern (like deep wave, body wave, Burmese curly etc.). No chemicals are used, but it’s still considered processed.
How to Tell It’s Steam-Processed:
- The pattern looks too perfect or too identical across all bundles.
- It bounces back when wet but may frizz over time.
- Often softer, silkier than raw, but may not bleach as well.
Tests After You Receive It:
- Pattern Reversion Test: Wet it. If the curl loosens drastically or changes shape, it’s steam-processed.
- Bleach Test: May not lift beyond a honey blonde.
- Longevity Test: Over time, the curl may drop or loosen faster than raw/virgin textures.
When in doubt, always request videos from the vendor before purchasing — brushing the hair, showing the cuticles, and bundle thickness. Real hair isn’t perfect — but it should be consistent, natural-looking, and perform under pressure.
